Rachel joined BC Legal from Kennedy's LLP in Sheffield where she worked as a fee earner in the Disease Litigation Department. She completed her Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law.
She has experience handling High Court asbestos cases and NIHL, HAVS, silicosis, asthma and dermatitis claims in the County Court. Rachel personally handled the Court of Appeal case of Blythe v Ministry of Defence (2013) EWCA surrounding the return of a Claimant under a time limited Provisional Damagers order for pleural plaques, outside of the prescribed time limit.
Rachel has also handled Supreme Court Costs Office work and Detailed Assessment Proceedings arising from Group Litigation Orders. She has handled Costs test cases surrounding the issues of CFA assignment/validity and Part 36 status before the North East Circuit Regional Costs Judge.
Rachel undertakes nationwide Advocacy for the Firm in both the High Court and the County Court, in addition to providing a drafting service for the firm, while undertaking asbestos, NIHL and other disease litigation.
Rachel also works as part of the BC Legal Costs team.
